Job Description:
As an Investor at Vectors Capital, you will play a critical role in supporting our partners across various operations within the team. You will be involved in all aspects of our investment activities, operations management, fundraising initiatives, and event planning efforts. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about making a difference in the fight against climate change and possesses a unique blend of strategic thinking, execution skills, and a self-starter mentality.

Responsibilities:

Investment Support:

Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities in climate-related industries.

Assist in due diligence processes, including financial analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and technology evaluation.

Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Operational Support:

Support operational activities within the firm, including portfolio management, performance tracking, and reporting.

Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and operational support as needed.

Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and systems to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.

Fundraising Assistance:

Contribute to fundraising efforts by preparing investor materials, conducting market research, and supporting investor relations activities.

Assist in the management of investor communications, including responding to inquiries and coordinating investor meetings.

Event Planning:

Coordinate and execute firm events, including investor meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.

Manage event logistics, including venue selection, agenda development, and participant coordination.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, Ph.D., etc.) preferred.

Previous experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.

Previous entrepreneurial experience in climate related industries preferred

Knowledge of climate-related industries and familiarity with decarbonization trends and technologies.

Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically while also paying attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and entrepreneurs.

Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Strong presentation skills, including powerpoint presentations, report writing and more.

Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Compensation:
You may view the initial compensation as an opportunity to join a burgeoning firm while meeting your essential living needs. Beginning at $60,000 annually, this salary is intended to cover basic living expenses, with the potential for additional bonuses and partner carry (contingent upon your contributions to the fund). Our bonus structure is determined by a specific formula. Therefore, for those who demonstrate exceptional capability, there is no limit to potential earnings. Your rate of advancement within the firm is entirely tied to your performance, offering boundless opportunities for those who dream big and excel in execution.
