His core expertise lies in interactive designs, computer graphics, and high-performance computing at the intersection of media, entertainment, and technology. Brad's academic journey at Stanford University encompassed research and training in the environmental sciences, microbiology, and computer science. He is eager to apply his diverse technical skills and innovative product approach to the growing climate technology sector. Beyond his professional pursuits, Brad finds joy in photography, social dancing, and exploring the underwater world through scuba diving.
Madeleine Allen
Winter 2026
Madeleine Allen is a climate-tech engineer and technical project manager working at the intersection of hardware, biomanufacturing, and sustainable systems. As Manager of Hardware Operations at Prolific Machines, she leads development of novel hardware that enables more efficient, scalable biological production with applications across food, materials, and therapeutics. She previously co-founded a clean-energy startup focused on waste valorization technology and brings hands-on experience translating early-stage climate technologies into real-world impact.
Mark Li is a first-year graduate student in the MS in Health Informatics program at Yale University, where he focuses on the intersection of healthcare, data, and technology. He also holds a B.S. in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology from Emory University. Mark brings early-stage investing experience from the MENG Impact Investment Fund at Yale School of Management, where he serves on the Healthcare Deals Team. In this role, he sourced and evaluated a high volume of healthcare startups, participated in Investment Committee presentations, and served on the Q&A panel for the fund's Startup Pitch Night. Beyond investing, Mark has conducted market research as a pro bono consultant with the Yale Graduate Consulting Club, supporting an AI startup in identifying and prioritizing new industry verticals. His academic research background spans AI-assisted thematic analysis of clinical communication between neurologists and mental health providers, executive functioning in mild cognitive impairment, and cancer immunotherapy research. Through his academic, research, and investing experiences, Mark is interested in supporting companies whose solutions improve population health by focusing on long-term sustainability. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, spending time outdoors, and exploring fashion.
Orla is a finance professional with expertise in investment analysis, data analytics, and sustainability. She currently works as a finance associate on Microsoft's Impact Investment team, where she leads portfolio operations and reporting for the Affordable Housing, Racial Equity, and Climate Innovation funds. Prior to this, she graduated from the 2-year Finance Rotational Program at Microsoft and subsequently developed product insights for the GitHub Finance team. Orla holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and recently completed the NVCA VC University training program. Orla is passionate about sustainability and a strong believer in using venture capital as one of many tools to address global challenges.
Pushkaraj Kalkar

Pushkaraj is a finance and analytics professional with experience across investment analysis, venture advisory, and early-stage startup engagement. As a Project Manager at a startup accelerator, he worked closely with founders in a variety of domains to refine business models, develop go-to-market strategies, and plan fundraising efforts. He also led Fairfield University to its first-ever victory at the CFA Institute Equity Research Challenge (New York). Earlier in his career, Pushkaraj served as Deputy Manager - Sales at DHL and consulted on operations across the industrial, thermal, and automotive sectors. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Business Analytics with a concentration in finance. He is currently a CFA Level II candidate. Pushkaraj is passionate about investment strategy and advancing clean energy innovation. Outside of work, he enjoys singing, playing guitar, swimming, and cricket.
Zihao Zheng is an applied data scientist in the ag-tech industry and a current MBA candidate focused on technology and AI management. He holds a PhD in Genetics & Genomics and brings deep expertise in technology-enabled sustainability, applied AI, and data-driven decision making. Zihao is particularly interested in venture investing at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and AI, with an emphasis on scalable, real-world impact.
Andrew Nycholas Ormand

Andrew Nycholas Ormand holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Nanyang Technological University. He leads investments at 1MX AI, NonPublic, Orvel Ventures, and Ascend Angels, focusing on early-stage companies across AI, fintech, SaaS, and emerging markets in Southeast Asia. He also deploys capital through SPVs as an angel investor, with experience spanning venture building, syndicate structuring, and secondaries. With a background in infrastructure and a strong interest in long-term sustainability, Andrew is passionate about supporting climate tech solutions that address systemic challenges in energy, mobility, and resource efficiency across the region.
Robert is a climate finance and policy associate at Sunrise Project, a global grant maker focused on scaling clean tech through civil society, policy, and corporate engagement. He works on strategy, research, and operations with a focus on activating US corporates to more proactively drive the transition by pulling neglected climate levers, from balance sheet cash and 401(k) plans to innovative partnerships and policy advocacy. While at Sunrise, Robert completed his executive MBA, writing his thesis on heavy-duty truck charging finance and graduating with a 4.0. Pre-MBA, he bootstrapped a tutoring side hustle into a two-sided marketplace platform, and prior to that was a teacher and intrapreneur driving climate and financial literacy and operational excellence in numerous school systems, including as an early hire with a board seat and P&L responsibility for go-to-market. Robert graduated cum laude from Middlebury College, where he focused on the intersections of philosophy, religion and climate action. He's an avid fan of cycling, film noir, plant parenthood, and public transportation.
Rajat Garg

Rajat is a venture capital professional with a strong foundation in technology consulting and strategic growth. As a graduate of Insignia Ventures Academy, he honed his skills in investment thesis development, market research, and deal execution, focusing on SaaS and enterprise tech opportunities in Southeast Asia. Previously, Rajat served as a Consultant at PwC India, where he led digital transformation projects for large enterprises, implementing SAP solutions to enhance operational efficiency across FMCG, manufacturing, and healthcare sectors. He also gained hands-on experience in market strategy during his MBA internship with Kimberly-Clark, where he developed go-to-market strategies for consumer and healthcare segments. Rajat holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, specializing in finance, economics, and marketing, and a B.Tech in Information and Communication Technology from DA-IICT.
Will is an MBA candidate at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he focuses on strategy, finance, and exploring opportunities across private markets, investing, and company building. He has a background in chemical engineering and has worked across energy, manufacturing, and tech, with experience at companies like Shell and HP. William is most energized when he's helping teams solve messy problems, build smarter processes, and move good ideas forward. He brings a practical, collaborative approach and enjoys digging into both the technical and business sides to make things happen. Originally from Austin, Texas, William has fallen in love with the West Coast and now calls the Bay Area home.

Benjamin Butcher

Ben is a corporate strategy and finance professional with experience in high-impact investment evaluations, strategic planning, and business development across media and technology industries. Ben holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California, where his senior thesis explored the long-term economic impacts of Olympic infrastructures. He is eager to deepen his understanding of the investment landscape, particularly within the climate innovation space.
Benji is a second-year graduate student in CU Boulder's Masters of the Environment (MENV) program, where he is specializing in Urban Resilience and Sustainability. His focus is on decarbonizing the built environment and supporting equitable urban development. Prior to coming to graduate school, he served as a political appointee in the Biden-Harris Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Benji graduated from Duke University with a BA in Political Science.
Carrie Song is a global executive leader with extensive experience in the energy sector. She joins Vectors to engage with emerging technologies and expand her horizon through venture capital operations. Carrie has a proven track record of managing multi-billion-dollar global P&Ls and driving business expansion across Fortune companies. Her leadership roles include Global SVP Commercial at Neste leading biofuels growth, and Sales Director roles at BP for various regions growing lubricants and additives businesses. At Cummins, she held key positions in power generation. Having led diverse teams across three continents, Carrie is recognized as a growth strategist and an inclusive leader. Her expertise spans commercialization, growth and transformation, and value chain optimization. Carrie holds an MBA and a Master's in Marketing.
Cece Zhao, CFA

Cece specializes in clean energy investing and finance. Currently working at AES Clean Energy, she valuates and finances renewable energy greenfield and M&A projects across multiple technologies. Previously at AllianceBernstein, she managed the team's tactical asset allocation, real assets, and the first Energy Transition investment portfolio, leading workflows in research, portfolio construction, investment strategy, and execution. She is experienced in climate tech and consults startups on strategy, product, and business development. With 10 years of experience across finance, energy, and technology sectors, Cece combines her expertise in capital markets, clean energy, and startup development to accelerate renewable energy innovation. Cece holds a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from Yale, a Master's degree in Operations Research from Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Hong Kong.
Marcus is a first-year MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Previously, Marcus gained valuable experience in disruptive innovations as a satellite communications product manager and a corporate venture capital investor. Mel is an MBA candidate at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Originally from NYC, he earned his undergraduate degree in Classics from Colgate University, where he also walked onto the swimming & diving team. Before Darden, Mel worked at a climate tech marketing agency, helping early-stage companies grow and scale. At Darden, he serves as a first-year liaison for the Energy Club, Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club, and the Improv Club.
Tyler brings a strong background in venture capital, private equity, and financial analysis, with a particular focus on early-stage companies addressing environmental challenges. As an MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Tyler serves as an Associate for the Steven Tarrson Impact Investment Fund and is a participant in the Turner MIINT program, where he evaluates high-impact startups. Prior to joining Vectors, Tyler worked at Lexington Partners, where he managed investor relations and optimized fund performance, and at Citi, where he developed financial models and liquidity management strategies. Tyler holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Yale University, where he graduated with distinction.
